Advancements
Step One was created after founder, Greg Taylor, experienced unbearable chafing on a multi-day hike. Unable to find a solution to make hiking more comfortable, he set out to create a solution for himself, which is where the idea for Step One came from. Greg created his own innovative “Ultraglyde” panels which sit between your thighs to reduce friction. For the men’s range, he also has created a 3D Pounch to suit every guy. For women, there are three lines. The Trunk link has the Ultraglyde panels, the bikini line and the SmoothFit line, which comes in three styles of seamless underwear.
Environmentally Friendly
Last year, Step One became the first clothing company in Australia to achieve end-to-end FSC™ certification. By partnering with FSC™, Step One made a commitment to zero deforestation, fair wage & work environments, plant and animal species protection & supporting local communities in all production of their bamboo viscose underwear. Choosing to produce their garments out of organic bamboo viscose, a naturally irrigated source, not only means that production does not use any extra water (unlike cotton), but it also is naturally antibacterial, sweat resistant and super soft in its properties. Step One’s commitment to sustainability is at the core of everything they do, and this certification is a testament to their dedication to creating a better future for our planet.
We’ve been lucky enough to wear some of these over the past few days, and speaking from experience they are truly awesome. They are not just comfortable, but are long in the leg which limit the chances of chaffing should you do exercise in them. The waistband is super comfortable too, and doesn’t dig in as some elastic can often do. We love them, and highly recommend!
