Australia’s love of Margaritas has increased in the last year, with searches for Margarita recipes increasing by 83% in the last 12 months alone (Google Trends, 2020-2021)! To accommodate the versatility of this favoured tipple, there will be three cocktails served by the Cointreau Margarita Kombi to enjoy. Though, with many Aussies getting a bit more adventurous with their Margarita choices, they can opt for a Spicy Margarita which includes Cointreau, Jalapeno, Tequila and lime juice. Whereas, those interested in something a bit different in those warmer months, the Cointreau Margarita Kombi will also be offering a frozen Passionfruit Margarita which includes Passionfruit Liqueur to add a summer twist on the classic Margarita recipe.
The pop-up bar on wheels is a retro VW Kombi, dedicated to serving Margaritas and delicious tacos created by chef Melinda Essey who has a passion for Central and South American cuisine after spending considerable time travelling and cooking in Guatemala and Central America. The menu will consist of the perfect accompaniments to a Margarita and includes a Chicken Taco with Tomatillo salsa, pickled red onion, slaw and lime crema, as well as a Chilli Black Bean Taco which includes chilli black beans, tomatillo salsa, pickled red onion and slaw for those wanting a vegetarian option, and of course the classic Guac and Tortilla Chips. The menu items will be available in meal and drink packages with a $12 combination of a Margarita and guac & chips, $15 for a Margarita and taco of choice and $22 for those interested in a Margarita tasting box, featuring your taco of choice and guac & chips.
