Poor Toms Gin

Great news for gin lovers, with Dads Stuff and Gin Lane collaborating to deliver regular reviews. Here’s the first from the fine fellas who are the gurus when it comes to gin!

If there’s one gin you should keep on hand this summer, you can’t go past Poor Toms Dry Gin, from Sydney’s Inner West.

Launched as a uniquely ‘Sydney’ gin, if you’re lounging around on a warm summer’s day, this is the drink for you. Poor Toms Dry is a light, floral and refreshing gin, best served in a tall glass, with a garnish of strawberry.

Anyone questioning your choice of garnish can be readily put back in their box with a simple explanation, ‘it brings out the flavour of the strawberry gum leaf they use in the making of Poor Toms.’

A perfect Poor Toms G&T:

– 2 parts gin to 3 parts tonic (preferably a dry tonic such as CAPI Dry)
– Serve in a tall glass with plenty of ice
– Garnish with fresh strawberry

If you want to explore your gin journey further, we recommend you check out Gin Lane. They’ll send a bottle of craft Australian gin to your door each month, with all the info you need to enjoy it to the fullest.
