Johnnie Walker, the world’s leading Scotch whisky maker, has launched a
‘Year of the Rat’ Limited Edition Blue Label bottle to celebrate the start of the 2020 Lunar New Year.
This award-winning Scotch (Gold at the International Spirits Challenge 2018 and Scotch Whisky Masters 2018) is a velvety smooth and vibrant whisky with layers of rich fruit, spice, and a long, lingering smokiness.
The annual commemorative Lunar New Year Limited Edition Design series is now in its seventh instalment, inspired by the enduring legacy of the Chinese Zodiac. With its wit and adaptability, the Rat represents opportunity and good fortune. Inspired by Asian culture, the Limited Edition bottle effectively captures the essence of the ‘Year of the Rat’, with the box featuring an intricate papercut of the Rat while the side of the bottle itself shows the creature perched on golden ingots and red lanterns hanging from traditional cherry blossom trees.
This striking Limited Edition looks set to become a collector’s item with limited bottles available within Australia, further reinforcing the rarity and craftsmanship that defines the Johnnie Walker Blue Label blend.
Johnnie Walker Blue Label is the pinnacle of blended Scotch whisky-making from Johnnie Walker. Only 1 in 10,000 casks from the Johnnie Walker reserves has the richness and character required to make it into a bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue Label.
Available to purchase from major liquor retailers including Dan Murphy’s and BWS stores nationwide, RRP $259.99 for a 750ml bottle (40% ABV).
