Cointreau and Donut Papi have teamed up for Father’s Day to create two exclusive donut flavours inspired by the signature orange flavours of Cointreau, at the heart of the Original Margarita and their own recipe for a Coconut and Ginger Margarita. Donut Papi’s Cointreau Margarita Donut range offers the perfect gifts for Dad with a sweet tooth.
Cointreau is an orange-flavoured triple sec liqueur produced in Saint-Barthélemy-d’Anjou, France and is at the heart of the original Margarita. As an ode to Cointreau and Australia’s love of Margaritas, the two flavours of donuts on offer will be the Original Cointreau Margarita Donut, which features a plain donut with an orange glaze icing and pipette with Cointreau in it, as well as the Coconut Ginger Margarita Donut, a ginger glazed donut with coconut flakes and of course, a pipette with Cointreau in it.
Donut Papi will be selling these from their Redfern store and these tasty gifts will also be available to order online to be delivered straight to dad, making Father’s Day easy for those wanting the perfect gift. The donuts will be sold individually for $8 but they will also be available for purchase as a gift pack of nine donuts for $63.
Donut Papi is run by sibling duo Kenneth and Karen Rodrigueza who opened the Redfern location in 2017. It’s no secret that Australians love a Margarita, with searches for Margarita recipes increasing by 83% in the last 12 months alone (Google Trends, 2020-2021), so Cointreau and Donut Papi are now bringing this love of Margs to Aussies with a love of sweet treats.
